Besakih

Besakih is the most powerful ley line nexus in Indonesia and one of the most powerful ones on the entire Earth. It's power was recognized by the early people in Indonesia who regarded the place as a holy shrine and built temples and many shrines in honour of the location. Since the coming of the Rifts however, the old markers of this mystic nexus were washed away and have since been replaced by those of the d-bee race known as the Leferin.

Besakih suffers greatly during times of increased mystic energy. It's many connecting triangles surge with energy and release many different life forms and harsh storms and weather rock the tiny island. The Leferin have managed to control much of this, but there are times when even they cannot contain the fury of Besakih and must do their best to deal with the harsh aftermath.

Currently, Besakih is marked with some Crystal Fortresses which are harnessing the magic energy and allowing the Leferin to exhibit some degree of control over the powerful nexus. They are also placing Crystal Fortresses over the other six land-based nexus points and are doing their best to place control towers in the water to the south and north of the island; the amount of sea life and dangers is making this the most difficult task but in the end it's becoming a realitty that they will soon control the entire Bali Ley Line Matrix. They hope to have this done in time for their last ditch fight which is the catalyst for this entire affair (see again Plans for the Future if you haven't yet).
